Stitch a movie teaser in TimeBolt

Learn to stitch multiple clips into a single video file you render once, in less time than it takes to record.

NOTE: Basic plan users can render marked cuts (with logo), and Stitch video in TimeBolt for free.

Use Cases For Stitch

ZOOM - You run a team meeting, record it, and want to add a pre-produced company intro video to meetings you TimeBolt and post.

GOPRO - You don't have to edit with sound. Cut action video in TImeBolt fastest too. You can record in multiple locations and stitch into a single action-packed MP4. See how I apply Stitch to making teaser videos for a 4k GoPro I strap to my dog.

VLOGS - Record your vlog in multiple locations, TimeBolt each segment, and then combine into one seamless video.

FIRST: WHAT THE HELL IS A JSON FILE?

The JSON file is simply a set of cut instructions and text data saved in txt format. The purpose of JSON in TimeBolt is to save cut instructions you can later reopen and apply to your raw (unedited) file. You can save multiple JSON files from one raw video.

For example, you can save a full polished timeline as the master JSON. You can then use Markers to highlight key scenes, click keep only the marked cuts, and save as a new JSON which combines all the marked cuts into one segment.

HOW TO COMBINE VIDEO WITH STITCH

1. Edit each segment in TimeBolt and click 'Save Timeline Cuts'. Your cut list is saved as a JSON file you will later apply in Stitch.

2. Click the Blue Icon to open STITCH

3. Add your files. Drag to reorder if necessary.

4. Apply saved cuts (JSON) to each segment and Preview. For pre-produced intro/outro videos no need to apply saved cuts as a JSON. In preview your saved cuts are shown (including Punch and FastForward effects).

5. Apply TURBO MODE before export to any segment. This keeps a blanket TURBO effect being applied to any pre produced segments. You will not see the TURBO effect shown in Preview but will be applied to export.

6. Export in format of your choice. Your video is rendered as a single MP4 file. If you made YouTube chapters, download with the 3 dot icon.  (How YouTube chapters work when making a video teaser explained in detail below).

If you want more, there is. The payoff with Stitch is when it's used in combination with Markers to make a preview teaser. See Create a Teaser for YouTube
